picbio2.jpg (4360 bytes)      In the early 90's Kenny relocated to Nashville, Tennessee and recorded an original rock and roll album, "Fight". The album remains unreleased. "I think the music community and the powers that be just didn't know what to do with it. It was the right record at the wrong time. It'll be out someday, 'cause time has away of catching up."
That day has finally come.

Human Songs” is a collection of thirteen original songs taken from seven different recording sessions dating back to 1988

Kenny performs solo with just guitar and harmonica accompaniment in a style reminiscent of the great “folk” records of the 50’s, 60’s and early 70’s on labels like Vanguard, Folkways and Columbia.

Recorded informally over fifteen years, this may be the purest representation yet of Kenny’s art.

2004/2005 is shaping up to be a very busy time with Kenny performing solo and with his band and the release of a live CD/DVD coming after the New Year.  Spring of 2005 will also see the release of “World is Changing”, an album of original Chicago and Texas blues.

Throughout his three-decade career, Kenny has always given voice to social and political issues and has worked with many groups and organisations including the E.R.A., Pacem en Terrace, Creative Outreach, The Salvation Army, Leukaemia Foundation, Safe Energy Coalition, Feed the Children, the Philadelphia Homeless Union and many others.  He has performed for our nation’s veterans and in shelters, hospitals, hospices and nursing homes and has appeared for the F.O.P. and in a number of our nation’s prisons—voluntarily, of course.

“I want to be like Bob Marley and Woody Guthrie, playing, singing and writing for the love of the music and the people.  It’s God’s gift to me and my gift to share,” Kenny asserts.

Whether performing solo or with a band, Kenny is able to distil the essence from each musical situation and then add his own unique contribution.

Kenny Mullins is an iconoclastic, maverick artist who remains true to his vision while making friends and fans everywhere he goes through his talent, warmth, kindness and integrity.
